Catwalk - svensk modeteckning under 50 år : fifty years of Swedish fashion illustration : dessin de mode suédois pendant 50 ans

Fashion illlustration is back on the glossy pages of international magazines, and Swedish artists can be found among the most successful illustrators in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Elle and the whole range of new lifestyle magazines. At the Catwalk, a selection of Swedish fashion illustrators from the 1940s til today is presented with their artwork and short biographies. Complementary the book contains a couple of texts about the history of fashion illustration, about Swedish illustrators working internationally today, and about a young artists debut as fashion illustrator in the New Look Paris of 1947. The texts are written by Lotta Lewenhaupt, senior editor at Swedish Elle, Laird Borrelli, American fashion historian, and Kerstin Thorvall, Swedish fashion illustrator and novelist.
