The type is Monotype Twentieth Century, also known as Futura, composed and cast by Mackenzie & Harris in San Francisco and printed letterpress by Arion Press. The etching plates were prepared and proofed by Simmelink/Sukimoto Editions, in Kingston, New York, and were printed by Robert Townsend and Katharine Hanlon at R.E. Townsend, Inc., in Georgetown, Massachusetts. The book was designed and produced by Andrew Hoyem with the assistance of Gerald Reddan, Blake Riley, Lewis Mitchell, Peter Stoelzl, Kenneth Howard, Flannery Bateman, Devin Cecil-Wishing, Sara Lanham, Charles Martin, Laura Heyenga, and Diana Ketcham.
